The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Paris, arriving on 17 March 2017, meeting with French President Francois Hollande at the Elysee Palace. The couple were then driven to the British ambassador’s residence for a reception where they met artists, athletes and musicians. William gave a speech to launch Les Voisins, a yearlong celebration of Anglo-French links. The Duke & Duchess attended a dinner hosted by British ambassador Lord Edward Llewellyn and Prince William, where he read a message from the Queen. Their visit continued on Saturday with a trip to a French military hospital and the Impressionists Gallery at the Musee d’Orsay, before attending the France V Wales Six Nations rugby match.
