Prince Harry took a trip to Barbados to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the island’s independence, as part of his tour of the
Caribbean. The prince arrived on the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Ship and was welcomed by local dignitaries including the Prime Minister. He was presented a boutonniere by local children and inspected the guard. After the welcoming ceremony Harry visited the
Government House to present Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards. In the evening, the prince attended a reveal of the 50th Anniversary of Independence National Monument at the Garrison Savannah. He ended his trip celebrating the anniversary, by attending a
military parade and the Golden Anniversary Spectacular Mega Concert.
