Zsa Zsa Gabor was born in Budapest, Hungary, on 6 February 1917. She was a successful actress, beginning her stage career in Vienna and becoming Miss Hungary in 1936. She emigrated to the United States in 1941. Her first film role was in Lovely to Look At; going on to act in We’re Not Married and played the leading role in John-Houston film Moulin Rouge. She was also a regular on TV shows such as Hollywood Squares, Bob Hope specials, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In and Batman. In 2002 she was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left her partially paralyzed and suffered ill health thereafter. Sadly on 18 December, Gabor passed away at her Bel Air home in Los Angeles, at the age of 99.
