March is the month of waggy tails and the patter of paws as dogs of every breed from around the world compete for the coveted Best in Show trophy at Crufts. Named after its founder, Charles Cruft, the competition was first held in 1891 at the Royal Agricultural Hall, London, with around 2000 dogs taking part. Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre is the current venue, where an estimated 28,000 dogs and 160,000 human visitors converge for the 3-day event each year. Commemorative text on the reverse.
