Exclusive Thimble Guild Design
It was a 13-year-old London street vendor in London who first came up with the idea of selling fried potatoes accompanied by fish fried in batter. The year was 1860, and such was the popularity of this new delicacy that it wasn’t long before entrepreneur Joseph Mallon set up the first fish and chip shop in the capital’s Cleveland Street. We celebrate the UK’s No.1 takeaway choice with a tasty looking commemorative!
